Vera Lynn WWII singer.
We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when, but I know we'll meet again some sunny day |
| Valentina |

Vera: old white lady
- Clementine: dog or cat - Lenora: old black lady - Valentina: old Russian lady - Lila: Hebrew for evening |
|
- Vera: I have a German friend in her 40s with this name. Love it - classic, simple, familiar without being common. If PPs' comments change your mind, consider Kira or Mira.
- Clementine: I actually like it with Clarence; same sound and feels like same era. But oranges do come to mind... - Lenora: Feels old - Valentina: I don't think this goes with Clarence. I named my own DS and DD with a similar hard/soft pattern and still think they don't fit well... - Lila: I know a lot of girls with this name. Ok if you don't mind that... |

Vera...truth. I hate veering for traffic and it will be shortened to Vee. It's ok.
Lenora. There are a lot of Eleanors an Noras. Sounds pretentious in a way, just recycling a popular name trying to bee unique. But love the nn Lennie, and overall, fine. Valentina. No. Unless born on Valentines day or named for an Italian relative, sounds absolute prissy and pretentious. Will be shortened by friends to Val or Tina. Does not go with Clarence. Makes Clarence sound weird when combined. Overall no. Clementine. NO Lila. Well the word lie is in it, and it sounds just like Lilly similar to the Lenora/Nora comparison. Ok...but not original or bold like Clarence. Vera for the win |

Clementine, is an apricot colored labradoodle and sounds ridiculous with Clarence unless on a cartoon.

Linnea
Has an element of all of the vibes you are touching on with this list but more original, sounds good with Clarence.... |
| Linneaea I think is the spellimg |
Well to be fair, Clarence sounds ridiculous. That was a terrible choice. |
