Vera Vera Bradley
Clementine the fruit and song
Valentina - Latin family name

Lila- I think of people not knowing if it’s Ly-la or Lee-la

Vera- pretty

Valentina- pretty but too long, als only works if you’re Latina

Lenora- no

Clementine- cute, but would an adult think it’s not so great to have a cute name
Anonymous
Lila- gorgeous, but most people mispronounce it these days or spell it as Lyla or Lilah. Isla has also gotten very popular. But still think the name is beautiful and works well.

Vera - Pretty, straightforward, lends itself to "V" which is cute.

Valentina - OK if Latin.

Lenora- No. But if you must, use a nn, like Leni or Nora, and it could be OK.

Clementine - "Clem." Sounds especially silly with Clarence.

Clementine will definitely get either the oranges or the song.

The others don't hit me as strongly.

Most of these read a but retro otherwise. Particularly Vera.

Vera - Vera Bradley and everything paisley patterned

Clementine - The fruit (it sounds ridiculous on a person)

Lenora - I have no impression.

Valentina - This is the only nice name on this list. It reminds me of Valentine's Day and hearts. It does sound like the name of woman that could be high maintenance, though.

Lila - Liar (and the one that I knew was)

Vera - lovely, respectable

Clementine and Clarence sound like book characters, and a bit silly. It's fine on it's own.

Lenora - snobby

Valentina - trying a bit too hard

Lila - slutty

the song, cute name
- Lenora - the Raven, no idea if this is even a correct association
- Valentina -
from a spanish speaking country or italy or trying to hard
- Lila - [b]cute, kind of boring - is it short for something?

Toddler big bro is Clarence.

All good except for Clementine, which will, as noted, get the fruit, the song, or both

All are lovely names.

What nicknames will be allowed?

LOVE Valentina! Great for everyone & has lots of beautiful nicknames.

Yes there are many Lila's but a majority of people are used to the distinctions in spelling and pronunciations and will make the effort to address your child accurately. People who give you grief would anyway. More people named Lila does not make the name, or your child, less special or beautiful.

Which names do you love?

Go with the name that YOU love and let the name that you don't love be the middle name.

Would you be glad to be named all of these names? If any would make you uncomfortable, then that is a valid reason to say no to anyone who is trying to pressure or convince you.

Congrats to your family!
