Where do girls in bottom 25% at Visi and SR go to college

Trump went to the school where someone was able to get him in through connections. He has never earned anything in his life. When you get a kid with mental illness and connections you get Trump.

Who is claiming otherwise? This is a list where likely lower 25% of class matriculates.

My kid got into GU and we have no connections. She didn't even want to go there...just applied in case she didn't get into her other choices.

I don’t know about Visi but SR’s is monitored by SR’s social media and college office. And so far they have posted everyones college.

In the fall of junior year, Holton provides info to parents about the grade distribution and the corresponding schools that girls in each quintile had attended in the past.

For the lowest 20 percentile, the corresponding GPA range in DD’s class was 2.6-3.4. The schools mentioned included: American U, Kenyon, Oberlin, Mount Holyoke, Penn State, Pitzer, Reed. (Frankly, these are fantastic options; it was a positive surprise.)

Under a 3.0 gets you into those schools?

No. Kids at Holton going to these schools have way higher than a 3.0

Girls in the bottom 20 percent of the GPA distribution get into these schools. Given grade inflation, there are very, very few with GPA below 3. Last year, the lowest GPA was around 2.8 (and still admitted to Bucknell).

This. From years past, schools like providence college and fairfield U were possible from bottom 25%, as well as schools like Sewanee, American, College of Charleston, Clemson, and some need aware SLAC like conn college, denison, muhlenburg, dickinson, wooster.

Average gpa for Fairfield is 3.9. https://www.fairfield.edu/admission-and-aid/apply/first-year-applicants/admission-profile/

Um…that’s a weighted GPA across the many grade-inflated schools that litter our nation. Unweighted is probably an 3.2 or so, likely right around the 25th percentile at Visi. Only 38% submit scores with 1370 as the mid-point of those who report. That means the middle point of test scores would probably be around 1230-1250 if everyone reported. Again, this is not what one would normally associated with a 20% admission rate.

They’re playing the Northeastern game, but not as well and with less impressive marketing.

How many girls really have low gpa at these schools?

Apply ED - Full Pay coming from those schools even if you are in the bottom 1/2, you are well prepared for college

They are not getting into Syracuse or NYU. The others are on point.

I know 3.6 ED student off to NYU from a private high school that is not as rigorous as Visi or Stone Ridge. NYU loves ED / Full Pay.

What Major? If theatre, that tracks.

But bottom 25% at VISI do not have a 3.6 UW!

Tish is one of the hardest to get into at NYU…

But for Visi, it’s considered a lower tier school. There’s levels to this sh*t.
