+1. I have had the same thing all week. Cannot believe people are still taking Covid tests.

Why wouldn't we? There's a new strain of Covid. Taking a test through a drs office helps them track the spread. Taking one at home helps me decide if I ask my doctor for some of the antivirals to help with symptoms. The problem with this time of year is, people will start feeling congested and assume it's allergies and go out for a day or two and spread whatever they're coming down with everywhere. Please consider masking in populated, enclosed areas.

And sorry for all those who are sick with the mystery virus. Sounds ghastly.

This really sounds like COVID..sometimes the first test is negative, but 48 hours later will be positive

Been sick a few days now started with a scratchy throat, and irritated lungs, quickly went into coughing fits, coughing up nasty mucous and wheezing, low grade fever, now congestion and runny nose. When I look at the flu maps it's all low same with the covid charts. Covid tests are negative. If this is "just" a cold it's freaking violent AF.

I have something like this plus lots of body aches. On day 6. It’s been really strange with the ups and downs. The first few days were no big deal. But then it hit me like a train and all I could do was sleep the last two days. Definitely not just a cold. Finally starting to feel better.

What are the rest of your symptoms?

Started like a lot of posters, with a sore throat and congestion. Turned into low grade fever with body aches and awful headaches. Congested cough that is still lingering and my asthma is fully activated. I finally got up and around a bit today (day 7) but am still exhausted and get dizzy really quickly, which is unusual for me. I've canceled all plans for tomorrow and plan to just continue resting the next two days before I have to return to the real world.

One son came down with this a week and a half ago and he's still coughing and tired.

A lot of it reminds me of the flu or covid, but without the high fever.

Me again. Finally feeling human again on day 9. So there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I still have no energy at all though and took a 3 hour nap today. Crazy

+1 and flu can also have false negative. Is RSV still going around? Walking pneumonia? Doesn’t sound like common cold.

Pretty sure I had COVID (loss of smell) 3 weeks ago and it usually turns into a 2nd week of coughing for me. Then this week i finally admitted something must be going on and when to Urgent Care and found out i developed Bronchitis. So keep an eye on it!

Did you need antibiotics or will it go away on its own? Did you test for flu or covid? What were your other symptoms? How did it start?
