Are you sick right now? Cold, flu, RSV or covid?

Been sick a few days now started with a scratchy throat, and irritated lungs, quickly went into coughing fits, coughing up nasty mucous and wheezing, low grade fever, now congestion and runny nose. When I look at the flu maps it's all low same with the covid charts. Covid tests are negative. If this is "just" a cold it's freaking violent AF.

I have something like this plus lots of body aches. On day 6. It’s been really strange with the ups and downs. The first few days were no big deal. But then it hit me like a train and all I could do was sleep the last two days. Definitely not just a cold. Finally starting to feel better.

What are the rest of your symptoms?

Started like a lot of posters, with a sore throat and congestion. Turned into low grade fever with body aches and awful headaches. Congested cough that is still lingering and my asthma is fully activated. I finally got up and around a bit today (day 7) but am still exhausted and get dizzy really quickly, which is unusual for me. I've canceled all plans for tomorrow and plan to just continue resting the next two days before I have to return to the real world.

One son came down with this a week and a half ago and he's still coughing and tired.

A lot of it reminds me of the flu or covid, but without the high fever.

I think the have the same bug. Down to the getting dizzy (not normal for me at all). I can't sleep at all. I'm laying there for 3-4 hours wide awake wheezing away. Are you wheezing too? I had asthma as a kid and thought it went away but now I don't know. This is by far worst cough I've had in my life and it doesn't seem to be close to being over yet. I'm so miserable.

Me too and now my stomach is bothering me. Anyone else have that 5 days in? Started as sore throat, then body aches, weakness/tiredness, even the dizziness and some coughing. Congestion a little better today but upset stomach. I just want to be better!

That might be allergies. Pollen was "extreme" level.

I had a cold/stomach bug a month ago (scratchy throat, congestion, dizziness, nausea and diarrhea) that resolved after a week, but allergies have now hit full force. Ugh!

My dry cough and mild congestion have been kept somewhat at bay with allegra and flonase. However, my eyes have been burning and watering for days, and antihistamine eyedrops aren't doing a thing. I want to scratch my eyes out.

I am having what I think are the worst allergies of my life. Sneezing, post nasal drip and runny nose and cough. My eyes are itching and it’s worse when I am outside. I am miserable.

Let me assure you allergy folks that this new covid strain cicada is much, much worse than allergies.

Hell yes we’re taking Covid tests. If we want to see older adult loved ones who could get very sick.

Same! Took me a solid 9 days to even be able to feel like I could breathe again. Lots of sneezing with this one. Vertigo too.

I took one too since I still have a couple left from the old stash. I spent Wednesday and Thursday at large holiday gatherings and I hoped that I hadn’t spread it around. Test was negative. But I feel miserable. Seems silly to go to the dr though since it’s too late to treat for flu and nothing to do for a cold anyway.

Horrible cough for nearly two weeks. I don’t usually have pelvic floor issues but the cough is so violent (despite taking lots of meds) that every time I cough I pee.

This new thing is insanity. Like death warmed over. I've have never been this sick and its not going anywhere. Horrible sore throat now, chest congestion, so much freaking mucus from everywhere. I can't breathe, eat, sleep, never seen something so violent before.

This isn't a cold. This is the sickest I've ever been. But you'll find out soon enough!
