High earning women: what would you look for in a partner?

He is a government contractor, and his 120K salary is less than 1/12th of the interest from my trust fund. I got him in college before another 50M+ trust fund baby got to him. The added bonus is that he is my older brother best friend since college because they were on the same team. I am the one that won the lifetime lottery, not him. If things do not work out between us, which I hope not, he will have no problem finding another trust fund woman.

I already have money, I do not need more money to make me happy.

I could never marry a man who only makes $120K no matter how much money I had or what he looks like.

I tend to date university professors

With all of your intellectual prowess wouldn’t you have realized by now that rural /= ignorant? Henry David Thoreau had every opportunity to be a socialite but chose to be a “rural dude”.

This response demonstrates why I date PhDs. Because there will be something for me to look up to.

Um, you do realize that $120K is around the 75th percentile of individual incomes in the US, right?
It’s clearly upper middle class in all but the most expensive cities.
Just how greedy are you?

These numbers include all flyover countries and people without education. College educated people date their likes and especially wealthy people. 120k is very little in big cities that’s a recent college grad salary

You make a good point about the data, so let’s look at New York City.
The median (not mean) starting salary with a bachelor’s degree in NYC is less than $65K, and to start at more than $100K, one would likely have to be in finance or tech.
Granted, FAANG companies might hire a limited number of new grads at close to $200K, but those positions are outliers.
I checked only NYC, but I’m guessing it’s substantially similar in other HCOL areas.
