The alt -right SC doesn’t care about Wootton it’s not one of their disenfranchised targets. |
Just like we are wasting a bunch of funds cancelling the EV buses due to corruption. We should find out who complained about it and shame them for it. |
yeah. I dont have a dog in this hunt but the more I read about it, this isn't bad. The old building is a dump I hear, just a degraded shell. The name and history go with the move, like a NFL team (sometimes). the elementary school split thing is a little wonky, but, hey its probably the best of bad choices. If I was a walker to former Wooton I'd be unhappy, but not unhappy enough to pitch in more than about $3.50 suing over it. I need about tree-fiddy.

Exactly. I wish our old high school got to move to the Crown school. We would have loved to have a brand new building if our whole school got to move there. WTH is wrong with these people. |
| FYI- the majority of wootton cluster parents are completely on board with the relocation, especially those with kids still in elementary schools. Save wootton may not believe that there's a silent majority, but they only have about 100 people screaming shame at BOE meetings and the same 20 people flooding all the comments sections and whatsapp chats with terrible takes. Most parents have other things to do with their time than embarrass themselves with chickfila fundraisers and wearing patriot shirts everywhere. |
| 4 pages but still no evidence of said formal announcement? |
Indeed. Why not. They spent their money on taxes, lots of them, and look where it got them. Might as well put that spend to good use. Imagine paying money for a decade or more towards a new vehicle, or even fixing up your vehicle, only to have the govt vote 7-1 to give it to someone else and tell you to bum a ride with the person in the next town over, in their new vehicle that you funded. TaxPAYERS in countywide endeavors, just like cities, never get their money's worth. Never. Team Wootton parents (not my catchment but glad to see them do this) |
Exactly. Who are you referring to, OP? Certainly the school is not suing the district it is part of. Certainly the teachers are not suing. Is it a small set of Wootton parents who were unaware that their school was part of a larger district? |
Just the poor Gaithersburg kids. Some Gaithersburg families are richer than Wootton families so maybe they should not be allowed at crown as they are too poor. |
Us too. |
Taylor didn’t want to use Crown as a holding school because he would have to renovate Magruder. This lets him kick that can down the road 10 years. |
Also a fun area for afterschool or evening activities. |
| Personally, I can’t wait for the attorneys to fight MCPS in court. |
| The hilarious thing here... a law firm was retained, attorneys announced… where’s the lawsuit? Were there any laws broken? Is there a case?? Or is it that the money isn’t there to pay for the attorney fees? |
🤣 O dear, you are out of the loop. If you only knew the avalanche that is about to come. |
