I'm about to take my dog for a walk in case it gets bad later this afternoon. When I get back, I'll adjust the furniture on my deck so it hopefully doesn't fly around.
That's it. |
OPM is closing early today at 2 pm. My job (non-government) also announced early departure. I think rush hour, at least in DC, will be lighter. |
| Stocking up on Pez |
Closing offices. But required to telework for rest of day. |
|
The 2 pm closure is kind of ridiculous since looking out my window to the west it is extremely dark and there is a line of storms approaching that is probably about 20 minutes from downtown. It looks like a lull after that so I will get through my workday and leave. |
| OPM closing at same time the severe t-storm was passing by. Shoulda closed at noon instead so silly now everyone is scrambling on the roads causing more of a headache with traffic and geez so much water on the roads. |
?? do many people in the DMV have well water? I live in a close in suburb and we lose power any time the wind blows. I don't see the point in any preparation besides making sure we have a few flashlights. |
|
Nothing is going to happen. The widespread tornado watch was cancelled early an hour ago. Once again the news/Capital weather game, etc got everyone into hysterics and were completely wrong (“this forecast was difficult to pin down “).
Ridiculous. |
| Wow what a storm. |
Well the ground is damp here so there are still slip and fall risks. |
| Sooner or later, people are just going to start ignoring all of these hyped up weather warnings… |
Don't worry, the media will gaslight you into believing that we just survived WW3. |
| I survived the storm of 2026! |
| Wait, isn't there a second storm we are supposed to watch out for? |
