NP here. You must not listen to the show regularly, which is fine. This is how the show runs... If one person needs to be out, the entire show is typically off. Sometimes they make an exception for Kristen, since she is back-room. E's kids moved into the college? They were off. Diane's daughter moved to college... they were off. Tyler had a colonoscopy many years ago... they were off. The only real exception I can think of, in recent years, was Kristen's honeymoon, when Josh (I think) subbed in for her. It's pretty clear that E views them as "a unit" and not "a combination of people." |
Thanks for posting the link |
Because you sound tone deaf or oblivious. Did you even read what I said? Unlike your place of employment: "This isn’t some random coworkers spouse that passed away, they’ve all known each other for decades, and everyone on the show was impacted." |
| I've recently started listening to them after a long absence and I have been really enjoying it. I'm sorry to hear this sad news, Diane is really great on that show. |
| When the time is right, I hope they post a charity or something for donations. |
| Thank you for posting the link, PP. |
| Wow sad clip. Elliot truly meant what he said. |
| This is sad. It seems like it has been a really hard couple of weeks/months. Diane is a rock solid human - she has always been the soul of the show and its grounding force. Especially back in the more tumultuous years of the show. I hope she and her daughter feel all the support and love in the world right now. |
| Its soooooo tacky to make a statement on social media "turn in Tuesday am at 7am for a huge announcement" jus to announce a death. He tried to drum up listeners using dianes husband death. No freaking shame. |
| What’s this show about? Is it like the Kane show? |
On the contrary. This was handled with utmost compassion and I have a lot of respect for how the show is handling it. Please have some shame yourself. . |
+2 It was worth the listen |
It didn’t stay an important announcement … it said an important update. You could read between the lines. It was serious. Not some gimmick to get people to tune in. |
Kane was a narcissist addict who played fake bits for attention. No it’s not the same at all. EITM has been around since the late 90s. |
