$275 for the first swimmer, then sibling discounts.
Of course volunteer requirements are per family. Whether a family has one kid or six, the number of parents doesn't increase. |
While my swim team does have a 2nd kid discount ($250 and 2nd kid $200), the volunteer hours are per child. I actually like the big families that are on our team. I'm in the suburbs so most families have 3 kids, and some have 2. The swim team families who have 3 kids on the team are at every practice and volunteer for everything. They're really involved and everyone knows them. We're in an HOA, so no one has to pay a pool fee for the summer though. 2 of my 3 kids are on swim team (3rd is a preschooler) and both dh and I trade off who volunteers at that week's meet. We also have grandparents volunteer for us too. |
| I think you'd have an issue with per-child volunteer requirements for smaller teams. It can be hard enough for those small teams to get parents to complete enough volunteer hours/credits in a season when spread evenly across families, so if you make a family with four kids volunteer significantly more than a family with one kid, you might make it impossible for those families to meet their requirements. |
