How much does your summer swim team charge?

A pool we belong to is charging $250 for summer swim. When talking to others, their pools seem to charge less and offer more practice time, etc. How does it work at your pool?

$300.00, which comes to 12.00 a day if you only count the main 5 weeks of the season. When you add in preseason practice and all the other fun activities during the season, it is the best summer deal in town!

We pay $150 per swimmer and pay for nothing. We start at Memorial day and every swimmer has practice through Divisionals (I hear some teams do not do this)

We have pep rallies every Friday night and do not pay for supplies and we have some really nice pep rallies where outside entertainment is brought in and games.

Could you all also state your Division?

$300 seems like a lot.

Swim team is the cheapest activity you will find, if your kid goes to practice every day.

$115 for daily practice but we also don’t have the depth of adult coaches that most teams have given how huge our team is. The teams I know where people pay more to participate often also have a few adult coaches and/or much smaller teams than ours. That= feedback, which can be worth paying for in my opinion!

I think it comes down to whether the pool board gives teams a budget or if the teams fully pay for coaching.

We only charge $110 and even less for siblings, but our board gives us a sizable budget to cover coaching costs.

I think ours is $250ish. Plus there's a swim a thon we're expected to donate to. And the team suit, which is $85.

I actually think it's pretty cheap compared to any other summer camp or activities.

If the pool subsidizes this activity, maybe the OP should also ask the yearly pool fee.

Division 6 team - $150

The pool does not subsidize the team but we do fundraise. We only pay for suit and cap if it has a name on it but it is subsidized, So a named caps it like $10. Although last year the suit was subsidized too and it was like $30.

We have mostly adult coaches and usually one per lane.

But our pool has a long waitlist and is pricey to join. So there is give and take with summer swim.

We pay $225 per swimmer. This includes a team T-shirt and cap without your name on it. You can buy a suit, or you can just wear one in the appropriate color. Our pasta parties are potluck and we pay about $20/head for the banquet at the end of the summer.

$140
There are then discounts for multiple swimmers

$200

Includes coaching, a cap, and awards. We are also expected to "tip" coaches and reps.
