We were waitlisted twice before. Finally got in. Don't give up.

Also WL for GDS (high school). Is this a real WL or does GDS waitlist everyone who wasn’t accepted?

Thanks in particular for the folks posting who were waitlisted or denied - I know that's hard. It's awfully quiet on this board compared to previous years...

Headed to Burgundy Farm for ECE - so stoked!

Everyone has moved to the college board where this starts all over again.

I believe they WL everyone. Having said that, my child was admitted off the WL there a few years ago.

GDS waitlists nearly everyone. You will have very anecdotal reports of people getting in off the waitlist, but assume it's in the sub 5% range. Be delighted if it happens but definitely plan for the exceptionally high chance that they are not admitted.

D for Sidwell. Not even in WL.

This board is ever quiet. Was this a really tough admit cycle?

Are we supposed to get financial information along with the admission email?

Us too. I was surprised by that one.

A for Holton for 3rd
WL for Maret, Potomac, GDS (non entry years)
D for Sidwell

Our 8th grader got into Maret - GDS - Field - St. Andrews and was waitlisted and Sidwell - which was our first choice. Not sure if it's worth waiting or not - or just going with one of the schools he got into. If he's waitlisted at SFS - then tell me - what are his chances of getting in?
