(Seemingly random) stabbing in Alexandria - why was this man not in jail?

So, if someone has criminal record they deserve to be killed on the bus? You are sick individual.

And if someone is jogging on a college campus, riding on public transportation, or walking down the street they deserve to be killed by a stranger who's homeless and/or has mental health and/or drug issues?

They should have empathy.

+1 Alexandria is like this remember the guy the liberal judge let out and he went and killed his accuser. I still can't fathom how that wasn't national news.

The accuser was a women, so, no big deal. Remember, MAGA hate women.

The liberal judge was MAGA??

One guy in particular seems like he is always on something, and I can’t believe he hasn’t been hit over the years. I really wish it was illegal and enforced.

Why? He has a constitutional right to be there and panhandle. Sorry you don’t like it but that doesn’t make it illegal.

Why do I wish it were illegal? Because the guy I described literally walks through four lanes of traffic while cars are driving. I don't want to hit him. I don't want him coming up to my car at a stop light and knocking on my window. He has scared my daughter doing that. I do not feel safe because he is clearly on drugs, and his actions are not rational. So, yeah, I don't like it.

Np. Well I’d like panhandling and sleeping on the street to be illegal. It’s mental illness. There are shelters available.

Unfortunate reality.

A long time friend of mine is a prosecutor and a complete ideologue. It's been very depressing to hear her boast and confide in me that she will drop charges based on race and tack on charges if the accused is white (she's black). When I ask her about this and the ethics behind it she sees it as a form of "reparations." Insane behavior that I've pleaded with her to stop doing. She also smokes weed pretty much everyday and flirts with others in the courthouse (which apparently is pretty common????).

She also bragged the other day about letting someone who plead guilty to a DUI off with no charges and that it was something like his 5th time doing it. When I asked why she very proudly exclaimed "jailing someone who's driving under the influence will only lead him to commit further crimes down the road as it could ruin his career and employment opportunities."

Sorry for the rant but I've gone insane listening to her constantly speak about this to the point I no longer talk to her/call her or reach out.

You should get a recording of her saying this so you can report her to the DOJ. This is very illegal. If I had a “friend” in a position of authority openly bragging about abusing their power to punish people of other races I would make sure it got aired to the public

Wow, is this in our area? Would be a totally shame if her or her family was one of the ones that drunk driver she let off kills. I think it's going to take one landmark civil case that fixes this. They really need to be sued and held responsible for their actions.

+1 record her. Va is a one part consent state. Record these conversations, take them to the press. Report her.

I think pp is a fabulist. Officers of the court don’t smoke weed and the caricature of an angry black woman is too extreme. How many black female prosecutors are there, anyway?

Probably because they didn't have enough empathy.

It is Democrats that are soft on crime and let criminals roam the streets, not Republicans. And the media doesn't cover it because most media don't want to seem pro-police and enforcement. Dems own this.

Descano and his team are intentionally letting career criminals go unpunished. It’s insane.
