Closed or delayed for what? It’s raining and too warm for any significant snow to stick to the ground.

+1. Why would DC be closed or delayed? It's just rain out there.

PG County 2 hour delay and Moco plus several others closed makes it hard to staff DC schools. We are probably looking at a delay.

DCPS is probably staying open which is why they haven't announced anything.

Then just announce ON TIME.

They are dawdling because they don't know.

Agree. make a decision and let us all know.

If they make a decision now, they would have to close it. I would rather wait to morning and see if they can get away with a 2 hr delay.

Hopefully but we still have to think about the snow tonight and then the temperatures causing it to stick around or turn into ice..

Do you think DCPS would do virtual learning?

Just got our third plow!

I’m just happy they can read. Or someone can read it to them.

Where in the District are you? In Upper NW it’s been snowing for awhile.

No, absolutely not. How would that even work?

Exactly the way all the other school districts have been doing it

Try to step back and look at the big picture -- will any potential outcome really impact your family that much long-term? Everything will be okay (with respect to DCPS and snow days).

This is such a great comment, thank you.

Agreed, I'm really stressing and needed to hear this.

Well, since I only live in one school district, and that's one that hasn't done virtual in the 5 years my kids have been in school, please enlighten me.

Teachers assign work on canvas (or whatever your school uses) and students must complete that work. Sometimes but rarely they do zoom or teams.
