Rom-coms to watch with teen daughters?

Much Ado About Nothing with Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson is lively although "classic"

I was going to say “anything with Hugh Grant”, and they were in “Two Weeks Notice” together.

OP, “About a Boy” is great!

I watch the last 1/3 of Crazy Rich Asians when I need a feel good movie that feels empowering. Starting with the Peik Lin telling her to not be a chicken scene.

I watched it with my kids and they loved it. And found it funny in places that weren’t intended to be funny. They both say: “you will never be enough” in Michelle yeoh’s voice when something goes wrong now, and laugh hysterically.

Devil wears Prada and bring it on are also good choices

I'm a big fan of Definitely, Maybe with Ryan Reynolds.

The Wedding Planner with JLo (who is very good in this!) and Matthew McConaughey.

Many excellent ones mentioned here already, but may I also recommend Strictly Ballroom? I watched it with my 12 and 17 year old daughters, and they both loved it.

Ones I haven't seen yet on this list or missed:

- The Wedding Planner
- How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
- Set it Up (newer, Netflix) - DD 13 and I have watched this multiple times
- Love and Basketball (not really funny but such a good movie)
- Lala Land (not really a comedy either but DD 13 loved it)

There's an old movie I remember with George Clooney and Michelle Pfieffer as stressed parents figuring out childcare or something like that. I can't remember but I remember liking it but it wasn't available anywhere when I looked.

Shakespeare in Love is now on Netflix, I think. I can't remember how appropriate or funny it is.
