| Much Ado About Nothing with Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson is lively although "classic" |
I was going to say “anything with Hugh Grant”, and they were in “Two Weeks Notice” together. OP, “About a Boy” is great! |
I watched it with my kids and they loved it. And found it funny in places that weren’t intended to be funny. They both say: “you will never be enough” in Michelle yeoh’s voice when something goes wrong now, and laugh hysterically. |
| Devil wears Prada and bring it on are also good choices |
| Notting Hill. |
| I'm a big fan of Definitely, Maybe with Ryan Reynolds. |
| The Wedding Planner with JLo (who is very good in this!) and Matthew McConaughey. |
| As Good As It Gets |
| Many excellent ones mentioned here already, but may I also recommend Strictly Ballroom? I watched it with my 12 and 17 year old daughters, and they both loved it. |
|
Ones I haven't seen yet on this list or missed:
- The Wedding Planner - How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days - Set it Up (newer, Netflix) - DD 13 and I have watched this multiple times - Love and Basketball (not really funny but such a good movie) - Lala Land (not really a comedy either but DD 13 loved it) There's an old movie I remember with George Clooney and Michelle Pfieffer as stressed parents figuring out childcare or something like that. I can't remember but I remember liking it but it wasn't available anywhere when I looked. Shakespeare in Love is now on Netflix, I think. I can't remember how appropriate or funny it is. |

Roman Holiday
Princess Bride |
Great movie! |

Can’t buy me love
Just One of the Guys |
| Has anyone mentioned clueless? |
Also, mean girls |
