Delay tomorrow due to the cold emergency?

Wind chills below zero and parents trying to argue crocks and hoodies are appropriate clothing. Idiocracy indeed.

Did anyone seriously think we’d be delayed tomorrow? No, we’re not.

Yes. Because the buses won’t start.
Just wait and see at 5 am.

On Saturday, when it was MUCH colder, MCPS schoolbuses were running no problem at my kids' school, where I was volunteering.
You're not credible.
STOP FEAR-MONGERING.

Closure is definitely necessary.

Yay we are on time.

Exactly. Kid just left for the bus. Thankful for full learning days

Do you think there will be a delay?

Oh FFS.

I didn't post about crocs and hoodies, but have in fact noticed teenage boys wearing those to show they're cool and tough even though they'll be at risk of frostbites.

But that's just teenage boys being stupid, and if you have a teenager, you know that they have minds of their own.

Pretty sure this was a troll, right? No one legitimately thought there would be a delay.

Probably, or wish fulfillment from an MCPS staffer hoping to stay home in bed 2 hours longer.

It's either a troll or a mentally ill person. There are many who find DCUM. Mostly they post on the Political Forum, but sometimes they also like to exploit the resentment for schools and teachers that some fragile parents have. Last week it got really bad on the DCPS, FCPS and MCPS boards with a number of posters viciously bashing teachers for schools not reopening - gave me pandemic vibes.

NY only had 1 day off from school - for the same storm.

You want to compare NYC to this region? How unserious you sound!
