This kid got in to multiple ED schools. Questbridge only lets you match with one (1) school.

I don't get it. What do you do if you got in to multiple ED schools? I thought the contract with each is binding. How do you explain to other 8 schools that EDed you that you're coming? And won't they threaten to sue, or something, when that happens?

Sorry for my naivete, we're yet to play the college admissions game in our household..

do any other high schools do this? across the US?

I know some public HS have their Naviance set so that "guests" can access it. There's one in the Chicago suburbs that I accessed once through reddit. Not sure about others.

You sound very bored and miserable to scour the internet to find data on children's high school stats & college outcomes.

Some hobbies: cooking, baking, exercise, drawing, painting, ceramics, to name a few.

Several of the ED schools are not participants in Questbridge.

It's also a wealthy area, I doubt there are many Questbridge applicants coming out of this school. I'd guess the bulk are full pay.

School demographics: 75% Asians, 14% white, 7% Hispanics, 3% mixed, and 1% black. Cut throat competitive.

Unless it’s a school tradition to make it public, you are not going to find many. Agree with a PP there are better things to do.

It’s also why I am totally underwhelmed with NOVA schools. They took care of us way better in all ways than the schools here. Most of these kids will also be full pay.
Great Neck is West Egg, isn’t it? It’s not just some suburb in New York.

It's a good school. But the best students in NYC go to eight specialized high schools.
Jericho, Garden City, and GNS are high performing schools, nonetheless they are open enrollment. They are not that much different from your local top DMV high schools.

I don't understand what you are trying to say here. What do top students in NYC have to do with kids on Long Island?

There is a direct train to Penn Station, 45 minutes. It attracts many families who either don't want specialized schools or don't think their DCs can get in or thrive there. Many Asian families moved there for school but work in the city.

If you don't apply you'd never know.

With that SAT score, I would say there was a hook.

Or they were TO and their AP test scores sufficed.

I am a bit shocked at how many ED are to Cornell, Duke and NYU

I grew up in chappaqua ny. College results are not as public or comprehensive but data still circulate and are similar.
