Do you cate if the Constitution is followed or not? |
They are entering the homes of legal immigrants and US citizens. They are ignoring the US constitution and our civic norms. MAGA is accepting action here that they were bleating about during the 2024 campaign suggesting that Biden and Harris were doing these things or were going to do these things. It was all projection and gaslighting. |
Do you think we should not have a fourth amendment? That puts you at odds with the drafters of the Constitution. It sounds pretty un-American of you. |

We are now Iran, North Korea, Russia, Israel and China (though China has a great economy). No rights, no constitution, no western values. We are now a junior member of the Evil empire.
Oh and our population has shrunk for the first time ever. |
Remember when they were all howling about the FBI searching Mar-a-Lago with a valid warrant? |
The US has been doing this for decades - in the Middle East wars. Dems and Rs (and many in the civilian population) were ok with this as long as it happened “over there.” (Or willfully blind) We’ve just brought the tactics home. |
The constitution is only for MAGA, don’t you know? |
I’ve thought that this whole year and am amazed it hasn’t happened yet. |
I seem to recall great outrage from Democrats over unconstitutional torture and detentions in relation to all that. It was Republicans arguing the constitution didn’t apply. |
“Federal immigration agents bashed open a door and detained a U.S. citizen in his Minnesota home at gunpoint without a warrant, then led him out onto the streets in his underwear in subfreezing conditions, according to his family and videos reviewed by The Associated Press.” https://www.seattletimes.com/nation-world/nation/us-citizen-says-ice-removed-him-from-his-minnesota-home-in-his-underwear-after-warrantless-search/ |
Under the Constitution, if there is no warrant, any thing found in a search is inadmissible, the exclusionary rule. Police can enter without a warrant if they have probable cause of a crime in progress, but again no search. Here it is an illegal immigrant, not a criminal case, and there is no remedy as there was no search. |
The Fourth Amendment does more than create the exclusionary rule. |

For all of you defending ICE...recent polling is showing that even non-college educated whites - Trump's bread and butter - are opposed to ICE tactics.
It is such a small minority of Americans who think this is ok. |
That probable cause is things like hearing threatening shouting or a previous 911 call. Not, 'hey I am at the door and think something could be happening so I am going in' |
+1 An administrative warrant is from the executive branch telling ICE which is also part of the executive branch that something is permissible. The entire point of a judicial warrant is that another branch needs to weigh in. You know, checks and balances like most of us learned about in elementary school. |
