Who else still has Xmas decorations up?

Ugh.

There’s a house on Georgia Ave in Olney with a ginormous skeleton up year round. So weird.

I have a white table-top tree with white lights up all year round - it’s like a night light when one of us comes down to the kitchen. It’s integrated to the holidays at this point. And it makes me happy, so who GAF. Nobody sees it by us.

I also keep yellow lights on my mantel all year round. Again, it’s not a holiday thing. I just love lights soooooooo much. I’ve got some little cherry blossom trees (battery-operated) that I turn on once in a while.

Why would anyone care? It’s so benign. There are real things to worry about, and this isn’t one of them.

After Christmas 🎄 waaaay over - - she didn’t want to take down her Christmas tree + all the ornaments/lights/etc. on it.

So when Easter came along, believe it or not - she STILL had her tree up!
(It was a fake tree btw.)

So she thought she was being “creative” by decorating it w/pastel colored plastic eggs thus making it into an “Easter” tree!! 🫢

I found it was laziness )especially if she decorated it for other holidays). It probably just made her happy. Does it really matter? Why would that bother you?

When I went through chemo, I put lights all over the living room, where I recovered from surgery, and they stayed up a long time. Because I enjoyed them. Life is too short to concern yourself with what other people do.

Meant - I DOUBT it was laziness ^^

I do not know about inside peoples houses, but I love the holiday and Christmas lights up through Feb!!

My (fake) tree is still up with just generic winter ornaments. I love the glow at night in the room. I tend to use a lot of tree and snowflake decorations at Christmas, so I just just swap out a few Santas for snowmen. January is dreary enough without stripping the house. I leave this up all month.

You do you and stop worrying about other people. I think it’s a little odd to still be paying for the electricity to keep the inflatables up on the lawn, but again, not my circus, not my monkeys.

For those who observe advent, it starts the Sunday after Thanksgiving. That’s why.

See, I don’t care what people do in their homes, but your outdoor lights shining into my window all night is very annoying.

You’re the sad one.

I took my tree down this weekend, and only because I bought a new piece of furniture and wanted to see how it fit in the space.

I love having the tree up, I think it's the warm glow of the lights. I still have my outdoor xmas lights up, but I never take them down. I just stop turning them on.

I was planning to take it down today, but my kids saw that snow is coming next week and asked me to leave it. Fine with me!

House Lights came down right after new years. Tree and ornaments were just put away this weekend.
