A chunk of my friend group goes to the same dermatologist in McLean. They all start to look the same. It’s a pretty overdone look, but they all rave about this Dr

why hide the name of the derm?

So many overdone looks around here. Only reason I haven't pulled the trigger on cosmetic dermatology. I do not want to look like that!

How were you honestly able to trust a woman who goes by the name "Injector Bunny" to not overfill your face? One look at the website/her photo/staff photo would tell you this is place with an OTT, artificial aesthetic. Like, did you go in expecting a natural looking result or did you go in trying to look "done" and then felt you over did it?

Not rude at all! I followed her from her previous MedSpa in Georgetown. I felt the vibes and aesthetic were different.. I first started seeing her in 2017 but took a 5 year break to have kids. When I went back, I just went back to her because of the prior relationship. Looking back it was a mistake!

My cosmetic derm explained this quite well. All of these medspas are basically nurses with a microneedling pen, a closet full of filler, and a fridge full of toxin. So to pay themselves, their staff, and their rent they are going to put as much of the filler and toxin in your face as they can. My cosmetic derm says that less than 10% of his revenue comes from injectables, and 90% comes from all the laser and other stuff he offers, so he is under no pressure to put more filler or toxin in someones face than they need.

This makes sense to me but that said, my NP practice does all the lasers and other stuff. And at my last visit, they notched my tox dose down! I trust them.

I did not like my consult with her. A lot of pressure to do multiple syringes and 100 units of toxin.

How old are you? Instagram is a major source of lead gen for cosmetic derm and is usually managed professionally by an agency.

Megan has done my Botox a couple times and I’ve had a good experience.

Sorry, but I would never consider injecting a neurotoxin into myself (let alone pay for that experience!)

I have a friend who now gets headaches if she does NOT get a Botox injection (she had no history of headaches before).

Aging is normal.

Please consider what you care about.

The other NPs at Moksha (in Potomac) can have a light tough. My favorite moved to another country.
Erika Barry is a major trainer of other injectors in the DMV; she has a male injector buddy at a med spa that used to be near Merrifield Garden Center in Falls Church. I’m not finding it as I’m looking for it…..but he was good, too.
