4th Year of Language

What happens when the school doesn't offer anything beyond year 4?

At BCC, there is Arabic levels 1-3 and IB level 4, but there is no AP Arabic exam. Can you take an IB exam after 4 years of language?

What about kids who are somewhere inbetween-- maybe in the top 15-20% of their class and taking a fairly strong courseload but not maxing out APs, who want to stop foreign language to take more arts-focused electives rather than academic ones?
