It sounds like she takes responsibility. She left her job. She and her husband are divorcing and were already separated. She is embarrassed about the fact that it was her boss, and admits that was what made it wrong and why she was ashamed.

I agree with her that the amount of internet hate and criticism around it was probably excruciating to live through. I don't think her saying that means she's not taking responsibility for the inappropriate relationship at work, it's just an accurate description of what it would be like to have one of your worst decisions broadcast around the world. I cannot even begin to imagine. I do feel really bad for her kids.

Do you have sympathy for Maria Shriver herself? She was repeatedly warned that she was marrying a pig who sexually harassed women left and right, but she went ahead and married him thinking her case will be different. She knew exactly who Arnold was but married him anyway.

Yeah, i have sympathy for Maria. I believe she loved him. It's beyond the pale that a guy with all that wealth, fame, and looks couldn't even avoid screwing and impregnating the much-beloved housekeeper in his own home. On a sliding scale of awfulness, his behavior is pretty close to the worst you can treat a spouse before actions become crimes.
