Dallas sux.

Austin is way better with actual trees, lakes, rivers, hill country, people, fun college town.

Both are too hot three mos of the year. But at least Austin has dirt that tall trees can grow in.

I hated my 10 years in dallas. And we were by SMU and a super “nice expensive neighborhood.” Ugliest place I ever lived, and I lived in three countries and 7 other major MSAs in America.

Go live in Maine.

Austin is not at all like Northern Virginia. You are going to be in for an awakening...

It’s fun and funky and has the basics.

But you had better want the climate, intense direct sunlight and lack of fresh air. That all falls in my Life’s Too Short list.

Everyone wanting their kid to play a sport in any bottom college anywhere was also a weird phenomenon in Texas.

You’re going to meet too many people who “can’t live anywhere else but texas” and who “never want their kids to move away.” Definitely the opposite of the DMV.

Because they're not as liberal as they think...

Because the white heteropatriarchy doesn't let women get ahead.

Once those liberal women meet a tall, handsome Texan in tight jeans, boots, and a cowboy hat, they change their views.

No we don't
