Not only TNR, but FOURTEEN POINT TNR. As anyone who has reviewed student work can tell you, this is a strategy of amateurs who want to make not much work take up more pages.
Specify 1.25” margins too, Marco! |
Agree that ICE cruelty and murders are objectively worse, but we don't have to pick. Don't let them trick us. WTF, Marco Rubio? |
|
This is micro-management of the highest degree.
That said, they really should be using open-source typefaces rather than proprietary ones (to which Calibri and Times New Roman belong). In general, sans-serif typefaces are best for headlines and large format and serif typefaces are best for body text. This has historically applied to printed material for hundreds of years. It gets a bit muddied when talking about material intended to be viewed on a computer monitor as opposed to a printout, since monitors tend to have inferior resolution (though this is changing). |
Not even comic sans. Just wing dings. |
It was worth circling back. |
| I’ve learned after several decades in Legal practice that the people who obsess the most over old fashioned fonts and typing conventions tend to be the weakest on substance and most irrelevant in influence. Gives real “small d” energy. |
| How is something that has been shown to be better for a wider number of people "woke"? This is like saying we should not have automatic door openers or ramps because they're unattractive and take away from the elegance of a building's architecture. I know it's not precisely the same, but I just can't believe he (Rubio) was stupid enough to share the reason, given that there was no actual cost implication to the change to Calibri. Rubio is a true disappointment - at one time, I really did expect better. But he's increasingly an embarrassment to himself. What did he (or his people) achieve by giving the reason why? |
It’s almost like “woke” describes things that are good. |
+1 I can see these idiots doing just as you said though. Remove those ramps now! Billions of dollars in construction costs be damned! |
What if we keep ramps but end Metro Access? Is that woke enough? |
|
This is at the forefront of the American conversation.
Today they stood up for Times New Roman! Tomorrow it will be re-named Times New American by Executive Decree. It will match the strength and integrity of the Great American Straw Executive Order! |
Yes. Like the new boss who can’t wait to change committee names. See also: rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. |
Marco standing by the ready to impose whatever line spacing and text kerning guidelines his demonic overlords from Tel Aviv dictate next, no doubt. What a POS. 🤣 |
| That’s just mean for the sake of being mean. The only joy MAGA can feel nowadays is hurting others. |
