My axiety is incredible. Watching my friends get laid off, not being able to sell their homes and our businesses struggling because of Trump has definitely had a negative effect on me and my husband. Husband is retire military and so to watch what is happening to our military is heartbreaking.

I think that they meant that most of the DC murders are localized to an area that isn't really part of that poster's world. Whereas the changes since Trump came to office have impacted them directly in several different ways. Therefore, the reduced murder rate doesn't change their life much and the decimation of the rule of law and Federal government (not to mention economy) have in fact impacted them.
