Who’s the heir apparent for MAGA movement ?

The way forward is not clear to me, but do think Hegseth and Noem devote a lot of department money and time to accumulating B roll for their '28 ads. Vance tries to do the same though may not be as effective at doing so - photos of him with a pope who died shortly after only endears him with a small segment of Catholics. Carlson is out there keeping his name in the news and clearly is Fuentes-friendly, who has his own aspirations. Kirk widow and Ivanka both have people whispering in their ears that their novelty campaign could propel them to the WH.

DK if an heir emerges, but do think the space will be contested in a way that hasn't been since Trump was a few months into the '16 GOP prez primary.

It doesn't matter what transpires during the 2028 GOP primary. As long as Trump is the sitting POTUS in 2028, the GOP will have no chance at election success just as they didn't in 2020 and just as the Dems had no chance in 2024 with Biden as the sitting POTUS. This is basic political science 101. Unpopular presidents are death to their party.

But I do think Marjorie Taylor Greene is going to run for president. And if the GOP goes all in with JD Vance - a very lame man with the charisma of fruit fly - she'll get those voters.

There are more women in America than men and the first woman ever nominated by a major political party in the US received more votes than her male opponent. You'd be so correct if it weren't for facts and common sense. There will be a female president within the next four elections. Based on the continually increasing numbers of women entering the political arena, it's inevitable.

Two women have been nominated by major parties in our history and only one of those two was nominated by the people. The number of women on the national political scene has grown exponentially from basically zero just in the past 40 years. A woman will be president soon. A woman would have been president in 2008 if not for the timing of a generational talent running for POTUS. It's a numbers game at this point. It will inevitably happen within the next 3 to 4 elections. Take a deep breath. We got this.

Given that I'm a political scientist, I'm well aware of how this works; moreover, I'm not talking about who will win the '28 election, but who will be contesting the space to run as the MAGA candidate.
