That's... unusual for someone to care so much about those things at that age. Assume that working post graduation will.be enlightening for them.

I’m going to type this very slowly for you, so you can understand it. That persons KNOWS what soiling the nest is. The point is that you use that knowledge to inform how you approach the situation. What you do not do (well, if you’re a competent parent) is whine at your kids “OMG STOP SOILING THE NEST!”
