This. This is why it is such a good program for security. And there can be a lot of reasons to wish your communications to be secure.

Everything on my Signal auto-deletes. The only thing I use WhatsApp for is communicating in foreign countries with Viator guides and for large video files, which is much better on WhatsApp than text. When I am horse shopping I use WhatsApp a ton for that reason.

Because you are trying to hide your horse shopping from your spouse or because it’s better for receiving videos of potential horses that you might buy?

I use both Signal and WhatsApp to text different people. Signal is really just with my parents to text and video call, then WhatsApp is coworkers and friends.

Lots and lots of videos. I don’t need to hide the horses. If I even wanted to, I’d just have to be sure to buy another bay. I have 4 bays and he can’t tell them apart at all.

Huh ? Have you heard of WhatsAp or imessaging? It's like that but smarter from a security perspective. I should probably ask my group chats friends that we shift to it but I haven't

Do people subpoena texts in a divorce? Seems like a waste of time, just divorce.

For the first part, every app except Apple Messages works like they.

For the second part, Apple and Google apps give you easy access via logins on shared computer.

Adultery is a crime in Virginia and greatly impacts the divison of assess. One anecdote here but illustrative of why it matters:

- woman stays home with kids for 8 years while fully supporting her DH's career. DH has been banging his coworker for 3 years and texts prove the adultery. In Virgnia, that gets her X% of his salary for X number of years.

If this all happened in Maryland, she literally gets nothing.
