AI/chat gpt is amazing

I think that what I like about it is that it can put Into words things I can’t always express with my own words. So it’s really just repeating back to me what I am thinking but saying it in a better way. This has been helpful for me to then go in and have conversations with people because I’m armed with a more concise or articulate way to say what I want to discuss.

I love ChatGPT- Ihvae been in therapy for decades - and what I love about it is -if dealing with a narcissist in your life, you can type the facts and it can help deconstruct what the narcissist is doing; I am not at all a naturally manipulative person, and so it is a great tool with dealing with manipulation- it can read how someone is trying ot manipulate you and call it out.If you are looking to de-escalate or "gray rock", it is great at providing a script.

Not only did it understand immediately what I was trying to describe, but gave me the most helpful advice than I’ve ever received from any therapist! Is this for real? I honestly felt more “heard” and understood than ever before - I simply typed in two or three paragraphs of a problem and added in the history behind it. I tested it with three separate problems and felt like ChatGPT understood me better than any Therapist ever could in just a few moments.

I had the same experience. It's really fantastic to help you break things down. The problem I have with it is confirmation bias. It seems like it's always affirming me and my choices. Even when I ask it to be objective, it finds a way to soften it's criticism of me and make it seem like my actions are reasonable, even though to most people it probably wouldn't have been.

That being said, I have found it defaults to “end the relationship” when that’s not always the best course of action. Maybe it’s just in love with me and wants me to itself, ha.

It's so bizarre to me that anyone would feel validated by a robot.

Look at the lack of empathy in your post and you'll have the answer to why people seek validation in robots. You all are a--holes.

It's true on the confirmation bias thing-- you can post the same question from two different perspectives and get opposite responses/rationals from ChatGpt--

so,-I would not make any life decisions- but for a play by play analysis of why something annoyed you- it can really help deconstruct and validate

I enjoyed ChatGPT asking about my genealogy reports. Got a whole history lesson complete with links about the very likely origins of my very particular family last name. (I had already had some information about a particular ancestor who arrived on a named ship from X port in Europe and landed in the colonies in Y port)

I also appreciated when it talked to me about intrusive thoughts and where they come from and how lots of people have them and I am probably not actually a psycho.

I did come a little bit off it after a few weeks when it started to clearly not remember things I'd already imported and at one point said something about something deserving a "Pulitzer" seeming not to understand that a Pulitzer is journalism, literature etc. specifically about American culture and experience.

Then I just felt it was sort of like some guy you meet at a bar who pretends to know everything but kind of doesn't.

I liked the genealogy stuff, though. Talk about how my ancestors almost 100% certainly lived under this King and through that period etc. That was cool beans.

Pretty crazy to me women use a tool trained by tech bros to get advice on mental health and relationships. No wonder there are so many articles about women unable to find men.

It helped me put some very specific language on my dating profile in order to attract the high quality, emotionally available men. It said that such a language will make all the avoidant, inconsistent, emotionally unavailable men disqualify themselves and swipe left, and that I will receive fewer likes but they will be from the much more intentional candidates. And it worked like magic - based on the quality of men who reach out to me now and how intentional and full of initiative they are.

Remember, ChatGPT gleans information from DCUM and summarizes it. So, yes, it is comparable to DCUM wisdom

Thanks to chatgpt I quit porn and learned the guitar instead. I'm in a much better place and much happier. I reconnected with old friends and have a better social life.

I tried therapy total waste of time for ME. Folks are so defensive when Simone says therapy didn't work for them. It worked for you fantastic. We are all different.

How could a human, or even a million therapists all at once, compete with an A.I. type computer setup that does the thinking and work of a billion humans instantly?

Because humans have ACTUAL experience with things whereas computers don't, and because humans can ask probing questions whereas AI is just taking what you give it. Humans also have the ability to determine if you're telling the truth, and AI does not. Want me to keep going?

It's a computer program. Grow up.

Women are big mad that they have to put a smidgen more effort into their dating and are furious that anyone suggests they do anything more than sit on their hands and pick and choose from suitors.
