1. A 1400+ SAT score is good. 2. It’s ok to have a normal summer job like lifeguarding or waiting tables instead of doing research. 3. More kids and parents (even top stats, full pay) are more interested in state flagships instead of private T-50’s. 4. None of the racist resentment against ORM or URM “strivers”. 5. Less insecurity. 6. The HYP admit is rare. 7. Very few people know or care about the SLAC’s. 7. Activities are more for keeping kids engaged and out of trouble than for giving a leg up in college admissions. |
