In fairness he made them a huge favor. Have you seen what corporations have to gain in the recently passed tax bill? It was a giveaway and they are NOT going to create more jobs |
I assume its probably a restaurant job. I know Everytime someone complains about being unemployed, a job in a restaurant is often the first recommendation. |
Nah great depression. But Trump will give maga each $600 like Youngkin just gave VA $200 and they will continue to vote red for $600 not heathcare, jobs, inflation or National Debt MAGA morons vote aganist their own intrests and will starve while Donnie has gold put on his penius. |
It's not "fairness" it's a dam bribe. And for god's sake read Project 2025 and what they give corps in there. Benefits are gone, over time gone, injured in the workplace LOL that's on you. |
| Good thing localities bend iver backwards giving them all sorts of tax breaks based on the assumption they're creating jobs. Pffff....just a transfer of wealth from taxpayers to investors. |
PP here. We are on the same side. The point I was making was they are rewarding him for helping them gut workers and their benefits. |
Why would they lie about demand going down? |
Is this sarcasm? Lower demand means they lower guidance which will lower stock price. Claiming you are more efficient because “AI” lowers costs and can boost profits. |
| Isn’t anyone going to boycott Amazon because of the AI replacing human jobs? I am. I’m cutting them out of my life. I’ve had it. |
| Where are people going to find good stable jobs anymore to be able to even buy Amazon things….and to be able just to have a decent life and provide for their families? With the Feds being laid off unfairly and this AI race to streamline for yet even more profits (like Bezos and company even need billions more?) when is the threshold going to be reached? This is not living. It’s not fair. AI needs regulation. This is going dark so fast. |
You know - I hate Bezos. He is a bozo. The amount of ugh I have towards him as an individual
I also equally despise Cook and Zuckerberg. That said, Amazon as a business really for me, is the best thing since sliced bread. Go real. I think anyone who does not admit getting shit delivered without much wait, consistently easy returns and a wide selection of like everything known to mortals.. I mean it's cool. It's not perfect, I hate them and have declined working for them personally but... that's a nice business model and sorry but I'd be hard pressed to desire making my life harder v easier. I also HATE Apple. All their proprietary shit. The fact that that phone gets more $$$ for less value added. I hate everything about them except I can't use an android. I find the ease of iPhones amazing. I switched then switched back. So yes, I hate them all but there's also business as a practical utility to consider. There's a lot of small businesses I love but no, paying $25 or whatever $$$ shipping costs? F no. The one business I've been able to avoid completely y it s FB. Or Meta. Beyond hate of everything that business does and ever grateful I'm losing nothing by not using them!!!
By the same token I love Target and again, I shop there. One day all these businesses may go away and be less than they are - all you people who don't want to use them? You will miss the hell out if them as life is hard and anything making it simpler? That's a beautiful thing. |
Ultimately, AI will change the workforce, not shrink it. |
|
It will do both - change by shrink - it's not that we won't have different and other kinds of jobs but not sure how you argue it won't actually change or shrink as we know it today?
Not sure it's a bad thing - there's a lot of stuff that's completely mindless and could be made easier and better. It's a matter of replacing this current system quickly by evolving quickly which we prob will do. The best thing is for our kids - stunting in an office or on the floor of a factory will hopefully be no more. Maybe it's about going to a system that's not based on earning wages in the traditional sense. We will all need to figure out something as all of us will be impacted whether little or lots. |
| You don't need consumers when you're a friend of the administration. |
|
So this still begs the question another person asked.
