And the 27 cops in IL who needed attention after being subjected to ICE's tear gas?

How do you feel about them?

Don’t care. They are liberals, Hamas or traitors to maga. This is what happens when you do not support Trump!

“Trump calls for jailing of Chicago mayor and Illinois governor as national guard arrives in city”
“Donald Trump on Wednesday called for the imprisonment of Brandon Johnson, Chicago’s mayor, and JB Pritzker, the Illinois governor, accusing them of failing to protect US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) officers.”

Because locals have refused to serve ICE officers in their restaurants and banned them from their restrooms.

“This is not the first time Trump has tried to have a Black man unjustly arrested” Johnson said on Wednesday in response to Trump’s remarks. “I’m not going anywhere.”
Pritzker also responded on social media, saying: “I will not back down. Trump is now calling for the arrest of elected representatives checking his power. What else is left on the path to full-blown authoritarianism?”

How many murders in Chicago every week?
What is the governor doing to slow or end the weekly murders?
How many fentanyl OD's weekly?
How many die from fentanyl OD's weekly?
What is the governor doing to slow or end the weekly deaths?
Not even asking about the sanctuary city expenses.

The answers will help me decide what I think about these troops getting sent to Chicago.

From a Chicagoan to you- keep my city's name out of your mouth. You have no clue.

Uh, we will see if they actually send NG to high crime areas of Chicago. They had them picking up trash in low crime tourist areas in DC, so kinda a waste that we could pay local folks to do, or just fund Park service like we used to.

If it is anything like DC, the NG will be taking selfies at the tourist spots and avoiding high crime areas like the plague. Make America Safe Again.

The murders end when gun shipments from Indiana stop.

Murders end with a combination of a getting guns off the street and a heavier law enforcement presence. This is the simplest form of common sense.

Murders end when you get guns off streets and people have jobs and secure housing and healthcare and youth have social activities and job and education opportunities.

This has been proven!
Deportations should open up some job opportunities, as well as lowering rents. It will also free up resources in schools.
In Sterling, lots of support services are being denied because the funds are needed for the illegal immigrants to learn English.

citation? so far, I haven't seen much keeping "us safe" -- Trump administration has taken resources away from actual crime solving in order to arrest primarily law abiding, hard working immigrants. And, for what it's worth, support is WAAAAAAY down for ICE and Trump immigration policies. Most Americans are not grateful.

They are not doing their job to control violent protestors and protect law enforcement. The protestors should not be able to swarm and attack ICE vehicles. That is unsafe for ICE agents and the protestors themselves.

Trump is removing many of the criminals and gang members Biden allowed into the country. That is keeping us safe. The illegal immigrants are not law abiding. That is an oxymoron. Them being here illegally is a crime. They need to be deported. Immigration is Trump’s highest rated issue and his policies poll way higher than Democrats’ policies do. Democrats’ immigration policies are the real unpopular policies.

Your mixing two things we were talking about bringing the murder break down. Second, it’s been been proven that deportation will raise housing cost. Who do you think build the housing?

All school schools suffer because immigrants pay state and local taxes (sales tax) which fund our schools!

Run along. Don’t you have a white hood too starch?

Stop with your lies. There is absolutely no proof for this. In fact Trump’s own data shows he has not removed any criminal only legal immigrants and Americans citizens.

It’s amazing how many MAGA think they are experts on cities they have never lived in or even visited.

Lets parse your comment.

Democrats support bills that fund the police departments nationally. GOP has uniformly opposed those bills, but have no issue taking credit for them despite voting against them.

The GOP has defunded the DC Metropolitan Police Department by withholding a billion dollars of DC's own money to spend, thus forcing cuts.

The GOP has no issue with the J6 riots that caused hundreds of injuiries and a few deaths to Law Enforcement and even cheered on their pardons from Trump.

The "defund the police" movement was about better training for law enforcement so they wouldn't shoot black people in the back or choke them to death extrajudiciously. That doesn't mean it wasn't a stupid slogan, but the GOP weaponized it to a meaning that was never intended or implied. In other words, in weaponizing it, they lied.

ICE, but virtue of who they are hiring, how they are (not) trained and by video of their interactions with the public are clearly way out of their element in the mission being pushed by Trump.

There is no proof of this. In fact, Obama and Biden were able to move more illegal criminals out of the country at a higher rate than both Trump 45 and Trump 47 and they did it within the bounds of the law and without stormtroopers causing havoc on our streets.

You're right! It is a war zone. If I were ICE I would be TERRIFIED!

the majority of US citizens oppose what ICE is doing and what Trump is doing, but welcome to the tyranny of the minority.
