I'm fine with this. They sent 30k troops to the Ole Miss campus, back in the day. And they sent 101st ABN Div to a high school in Little Rock. I think sending 400 troops to help out with deportations in Chicago is totally reasonable in the context of history.

They sent troops to Ole Miss because of a massive riot by thousands of racists with dozens of US marshals being shot, molotov cocktails, etc. There were multiple deaths and likely would have been many more absent the national guard.

It’s absurd to compare that to a priest and few other people standing outside an ICE building. ICE are the ones shooting people in Chicago not the protesters.

DP Trump was stopping and searching cars in for weapons. They took every weapon they found and used gun charges to make arrest. Hopefully they will do the same in Chicago.
