Chicago--ICE teargassing local police?

How many beleaguered locals "suffering under war" do you have to see spitting at you, screaming at you to leave, and telling you that you're not wanted to you have to see and hear before you get the point?

Nobody likes you.

Nobody wants you.

The point is that they want people in Chicago, LA, NYC, DC to pay attention to them. They are the classic case of the middle child acting out in order to get Mommy and Daddy’s attention. They thrive on negative attention because it’s easier to get.

I did not know that.

Really stretching to cover for antifa and their Dem supporters.
The standdown order said nothing don't help ICE, nothing about fake people dress up.

He’s trying to cover his ass because the local cops were given a stand down order when ICE agents were boxes in by idiots.

NEW: Multiple law enforcement sources confirm to @FoxNews that Chicago police officers were instructed by their Chief of Patrol to NOT respond to Border Patrol agents call for help yesterday after they were reportedly surrounded by a large crowd of protesters following a ramming incident & shooting of an armed woman. Chicago PD CAD screenshot below.

Did they have a working relationship with the Chicago PD, or had the state governor and chief of police objected to their entry into the state?

It shouldn’t matter.

NEW: 🚨 Chicago Attorney John Garrido SUGGESTS Local PD could have BROKE STATE LAW by issuing a stand down order on [a uniformed officer in distress] when federal agents that were surrounded called 911 emergency services.

Garrido: "CHICAGO MAYOR BRANDON JOHNSON ORDERS CHICAGO POLICE TO STAND DOWN WHEN ICE CALLED FOR HELP!!

What happened today should disturb every law enforcement professional.

An ICE vehicle was reportedly forced off the road on the South Side of Chicago and crashed. The offender fled on foot. ICE called for assistance. The 9th District’s Captain (beat 999) did exactly what any good supervisor should do, he ordered cars to respond, check for injuries, document the crash, and render aid.

Moments later, about a block away, an ICE agent called out that they were being surrounded and boxed in by a mob, a clear “officers need assistance” situation. Again, the 9th District Captain ordered units to respond.

But before they could arrive, that same Captain came back over the radio and said that per the Chief of Patrol, officers were to stand down and not respond to assist the ICE agents.

Let’s be clear:

The Illinois TRUST Act (5 ILCS 805) and Chicago’s Welcoming City Ordinance (Chapter 2-173) prohibit local officers from assisting in civil immigration enforcement, such as detaining someone solely for immigration status.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in those laws prohibits officers from responding to an emergency, rendering medical aid, or protecting life and property.

In fact, under Illinois law (720 ILCS 5/7-15 and 5/7-16), every peace officer has a duty to render aid and a duty to intervene to prevent harm or injury when it is safe to do so.

To order officers to ignore a call for help from fellow law enforcement, any law enforcement, isn’t just a violation of basic ethics. It could be gross negligence, dereliction of duty, and possibly even criminal if harm resulted.

No badge should ever be told to turn their back on another officer in distress. Period."

They should have rendered aid and then arrested them like every other criminal.

They were the ones presenting as ICE, so ... *shrug

If you came around dressed in a bear costume, and I wanted my kids to ignore you, I'd say "ignore the bear."

^^PS: That wouldn't mean you really were a bear, PP. It also wouldn't mean I thought you were really ursine.

If ICE were not in Chicago carrying out illegal orders, this wouldn't have been necessary. Maybe the people who signed up for this should re-think the civil war they are engaging in.

Broadview Chicago PD is furious at ICE because they keep making false alarm 911 calls to try to get police to arrest journalists taking pictures. They absolutely should not respond to calls from these boys who cry wolf. States’ Rights!

ICE should leave Chicago then.

They were the ones presenting as ICE, so, as I said before -- if you're in a weird smelly bear suit on the sidewalk, I'll tell my son to ignore the bear.

That doesn't mean I think you really are a bear, much less that you must be one.

Chicago police showed up to help ICE and they got teargassed for their trouble. I wouldn't respond either.

We need to see video of this incident.
TIA.

I am not going to do the work for you, but I am in Chicago and have seen the video. Do a quick search.

I wonder if they are talking about this incident:

https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/woman-man-charged-alleged-ramming-federal-agent-vehicle-brighton-park/

where ICE reported the wrong location (and were in good enough shape to shoot a person)

This is exactly why Stephen Miller sent ICE to Chicago. He is trying to start a civil war, declare martial law and shut down the 2026 elections, which the GOP are certain to lose given the mess they've made of the economy, health care, prices, tariffs, etc.

Maybe ICE should have thought about this before deciding to gas CPD officers.

ICE wastes time and money in making false 911 calls. Of course they are going to ignore them. They are the little fascist boys that cried leftist.
