PVS Results files

The NCAP block party meet from the last weekend of September is the only one there. Those results also appear on swimstandards, but not Swimcloud or myswimio. It’s really strange.

The block party meet may not have been PVS-sanctioned. I know the recent block party meet for Machine was not PVS-sanctioned. The purpose of block party meets is to make it easier for teams to do meets without going through the LSC-sanctioning process, which for some clubs can be a headache.

And my understanding about block parties are that times count within the LSC for champs meets, but not for national meets like futures.

So PVS has taken it upon themselves to not publish their meet results even to USA swimming? That’s ludicrous.

Put down the pitchfork. That’s obviously not the case. There are several threads on this forum that explain why it can take time for results to make it into the USA Swimming database. Other issues aside, there’s not a world in which PVS - a USA Swimming entity - isn’t sharing the results with its governing body.

No one has a pitchfork 🙄 I’m familiar with the lag time, but it is unusual that more than a week after the first meets of the season not a single PVS sanctioned meet has results pushed out to USA swimming.

Agree that USA Swimming usually has the results up within a week of the meet. That is the normal lag time. If meets are now several weeks out, that does not seem normal by any stretch.

Meanwhile three MD swimming meets from this past weekend are already up on MySwimIO. (Plus others from last weekend.) Next year you'll have to switch to a MD or VA LSC team if you want to see your kid's results. 🙄

I actually came here figuring that someone "in the know" would have an answer or a fix.

Kind of surprised that is not the case

Update - USA Swimming is now showing times from the Mako Fall Invitational.

Swimstandards and Swimmetry seem to be updated now as well, including the meet in Charlottesville that some PVS teams went to this past weekend.

MySwimIO is going to be useless now that PV and VSI are not supplying the meet files. I really like it too; such a shame.

Swimmcloud only takes the meet files too. So not sure what they are going to do.

I do not believe this is a rule change either.

It can’t be USA swimming rule change because most of the other LSCs are still providing the meet files.

I would recommend complaining to your club and to the LSCs.

It is a USAS rule change that files cannot be POSTED. If a Lsc is choosing (BOD vote) to directly send these files to a 3rd party or a meet host is sharing them, then no issue. Result files can no longer be posted for the masses. Only PDF files.

People have been asking for a link to this rule for several days. How do you know this statement to be true if it's not in writing anywhere?

Can you please link to this rule change? It’s not in the legislation that was just approved by the house of delegates.

Where is the rule? We would love to see it.

Also just spot checked randomly several other LSC sites and they are still posting the meet files. So there is disparity across LSCs.
