People don't get that it takes certain people to have ability to be and want to be a Dr. it's not an easy path and it actually takes some brainpower or at least studying. I hire every single American tech talent I can but 80% are foreign born that's just a fact. Limiting H1B only makes it so the talent pool diminishes. It's a blow to this country ultimately.

Do you know how much work and how hard med school is PP? You're joking right? IT is like 1000% easier than med school which requires a residency and often a specialty post undergrad to get through? You know how long it take to become an MD??

Let me answer that I just looked it up... a whopping 9 if you're like a genius to 12 years depending on specialty!!!! You think Americans have that patience and diligence to stick with academics for that long?! And even EE degree is one that generally requires a high level of math and science in HS to be able to get through a decent college program. I'm telling you having recruited undergrad in multiple industries - Americans don't have the ability to earn these types of degrees these days. Becoming a medical MD is simply not something mere mortals can be - you have to be able to not just get through the hoops but stand the rigor academically.

At least we don't go into a managerial profession where there is no able and willing labor. Who's intellectually deficient now? Maybe we need to encourage some of these managers to leave and find the talent that butters their biscuit the right way.
