It’s comical how you attribute every negative characteristic to MAGA, even when it is counter to the movement (for example attributing obsession with climate change on the wood burning thread.) MAGA folks are more likely to give to charity and to not be scared of interacting with people on the street. I would absolutely have called 911. Do you have a fenced in property? We have our house set back with a gated entrance. Workers/guests/deliveries need to be buzzed in.

I have a gated porch but not a gated front yard. The gate doesn’t have a lock on it and it wouldn’t be practical because our mailbox is on our porch.

Are you for real? Have you ever actually met a republican? They are not scared of “brown people.” Plenty of them are married to brown people. Some of them ARE brown people themselves.

I would not have helped, out of fear for my safety/a scam. I would’ve offered to call 311 for them (from inside my home). This is only because there have been news stories of people bring robbed or worse in these situations. If I were downtown I might give food, but not in front of my home.
