The PACER test is completely different, and most kids love it. The PE teacher usually split the class into 2 groups. They run back and forth from one side to another (about 20m). There is a series of beeps and they need to reach the line before the beep. If you don’t get there in time, you are done. A partner will count and record how many laps you did. The beeps gradually get closer together so they have to run faster toward the end. I like it because the “winner” is usually a kid who is reasonably athletic but also clever enough to pace themselves with the beeps. It is part of a program called FitnessGram that gives PE teachers data on kids’ fitness level to drive their instruction. |

So he reinstated (or maybe just renamed) this test to distract from the Epstein files? This is about as impactful as allowing high flow toilets or worrying about dish washing machines. I love how he focuses on the important, federal
Policy issues. |
| In his quest to undo and/or destroy everything Obama touched, he sure is finding some obscure sh*t to prioritize while the world is crumbling around us. How do you think he comes up with these? Is it someone’s job to create a spreadsheet of absolutely everything Obama did so that Trump can tic them off the list? Or maybe they made bingo cards of Obama’s achievements and the staff adds a chip whenever Trump destroys something? Idk. Just wondering. |
This. Also, I thought that Republicans believed in local control of education. |
Of course it fixes a problem. They will get a certificate with his signature on it! Yay! What 10 year old doesn’t want that??? Perhaps you don’t realize this, but MOST kids in America do not currently have something hanging on their fridge or bedroom wall with Trump’s signature on it. We cannot let that be. We need to take every measure possible to make sure every American is forced to see reminders of Trump’s existence throughout their day. Like, constantly. Thank you, Donald Trump, for your attention to this matter. |
This is such cope, as the kids say. |
The test is designed to give some baseline assessment of a child's physical fitness. People are positively delusional about their kids' health and fitness. A child who cannot run a mile in less than 15 minutes needs intervention. |
+1 I can't even believe the title of this thread.

This fitness test is already done in schools. It's just a way for this orange to one up Michelle Obama's 'Let's Move' campaign which promoted healthy student lifestyles |
