Good skirt for travel

Why do people always resort to ageist insults on DCUM? You like skorts or you don’t. Why the need to belittle other people, particularly WRT things (like age) that they can’t control?

Hideous!!!

Do you even know what a skort is?
They look exactly like a skirt and you don't even know it's a skort unless you pull it up enough to see the undershorts.

Skorts are awful. Unless you’re 80.

Got it - you're a skort-hater. But please explain what's so awful about these, instead of just declaring all skorts awful:

Nope. Not a short hater. Just an ugly skort hater. I wear 4” shorts 80% of the year.

I’m not 80.

That explains a lot. Thanks.

Sorry your fat ass can’t wear shorts. Stick to the skort grandma. Lands end is your friend.

Actually, my fat ass fits perfectly fine in shorts. I just don't find shorts as cool or comfortable as skirts or skorts. Still, I don't consider shorts as an entire category of clothing to be "hideous" or "awful." I'm glad they give you the self-confidence you apparently lack.

Looking forward to your update, OP.

Non PP , but I don't need another layer of tight fabric when I ama already going to be hot. Nothing comfortable about that, which is why I hate skorts.

THAT is understandable. But the skorts I wear have more of a mesh underlining and are stretchy. They are not hot and the skirt part makes it cooler. I tried wearing shorts again recently and it's just so hot, especially if taking a walk. I am so much more comfortable and cooler in the skort.

Because grandma has no fashion sense.

Looks lovely! Does it wrinkle a lot?

Chicos might work with the travel skirt

I know we love to hate on Chicos but this is way better looking than all of the athleisure nonsense (skirt, skort, or otherwise) that's been posted.

I don’t think linen is the best choice in this situation

I am looking for a skirt I could mix and match to get several uses out of it. Wearing it with sneakers during the day and a nice top for dinner. I am thinking a darker color, probably solid. I would prefer a midi length.

Any favorites or recommendations?

I am looking at this, but wondered if it would be too restrictive or warm.

I have a similar skirt from Maje and it is WONDERFUL - the cut and the line makes it compatible with absolutely everything. The thing to make sure about is that it is made from the right fabric - not thin, holds the shape and zips you in even if you don't need it.

Are you the 4" shorts person?

np and it's hilarious to me how uppity some of you are. So much of your "fashion" is ugly as shit. You look and sound like middle school girl tryhards.

This is a pretty skirt but what top do you wear with it? My stomach is not big but nowhere near as flat as the models and I have no idea how to style it without doing a tight fitting or crop top.

I just got this skirt. It’s a heavier knit material which would be good if it’s cooler there like one of the pp said. But maybe not as versatile for that reason. It’s very comfortable. The matching top makes a cute set.
