Good skirt for travel

I am going to Stockholm and Copenhagen in August. Weather might be in the low 70s during day and cooler at night. I am trying to pack light. I am looking for a skirt I could mix and match to get several uses out of it. Wearing it with sneakers during the day and a nice top for dinner. I am thinking a darker color, probably solid. I would prefer a midi length.

Any favorites or recommendations?

I am looking at this, but wondered if it would be too restrictive or warm.

I would worry that is too restrictive for lots of walking.

I have a skirt like that athleta one from a previous season and I love to wear it while traveling.

Why would you travel in a skirt?

Quince has a linen midi skirt that I think would work.

I ended up getting a midi sundress from wear pact and then just put a top or sweater over it for cooler nights or evens. It would look cute with one of those open weave cropped sweaters over it, or a jacket. During the day, I put one of those cotton gauze shirts on over it and knotted it at the waist.

Vuori is always a win for me - comfortable, doesn't need ironing, can be dressed up or down. I like this skirt, I wish I had seen it before my summer travel. I bought the wide-legged essential pants and got a lot of use out of them, and they were perfect for long flights.

I travel to Sweden and Denmark a lot. In August, it can be as cold as late October in DC. I know you’re looking for a skirt, but if you decide on black pants or jeans instead, you’ll fit right in. Actually Swedes love to wear black leggings under regular skirts (or denim skirts) and while you’ll definitely look like a local, I don’t love that look.

I travel to Denmark frequently. Wear jeans/jean shorts or maybe a pair of linen pants. It's going to be cooler in August anyway. The shopping is fabulous too over there, so honestly I would pack light and carve out some time to shop. Ganni is wonderful.

Oh I like that. I’m tempered to get it for work. Feel like you could wear it into fall with boots.

How is it more restrictive than pants? or dumb in emegencies?

Unless I am working out or participating in actual sport, I only wear dresses and skirts even when traveling. Never had an issue.
