What! That’s crazy! What division was this??

D1

So typical of those D1 teams to try something like that. How idiotic of them to personally accost an official. I hope they got punished..

If this actually happened (I am not sure it did because there is one team that is intent on slandering a team they narrowly lost to) then the official and team should make a written complaint to the NVSL detailing exactly what happened. Poolside antics are one thing but this would be crossing a serious line. If it happened it must be reported and if it didn’t then shame on whoever is making this up.

On the whole the D1 relay carnival was great!

Good but now we have the long wait to find out who is going to All Stars because we can’t move into this century and do things easier/smarter.

Our first time. When will the results be announced?

I’m assuming they didn’t meet last night so it won’t be until after they meet in person this evening. Gotta love living in 1956.

Why the rush?

Have you never been a kid waiting excitedly for something? Especially bc the rest of the swimming world operates with real-time results.

Except that all the time cards are hand written and results are all manually entered, which results in mistakes that are found and need to be corrected.

Wouldn’t this be the case at any Saturday meet though?

Yes, but that’s just two teams and they don’t go back over the results like they do when seeding an all-star meet. It’s almost certain that those Saturday A meets have mistakes being recorded.

No one is buying this rationale. All the team scores are already posted and won’t change. If there were errors team scores would change as well.

They will find mistakes. They always do. And those scores will change and be reposted.

ASR is next week and things like t-shirt orders are due Friday by 6pm and volunteer roles need to be filled by Sunday, not to mention the Saturday A meet. For team reps, the sooner we find out the better and less stressful it makes our lives. We already out an insane amount of time into organizing the season so having to run and do more over a holiday weekend is less than ideal.

I know for a fact that NVSL looks at every relay result and passes it around the room for verification. It's an arduous task.

A task accomplished by volunteers, yes?

People need to chill. It’s summer swim.

Then why bother handing out the throphies last night? Should wait for the seeding meeting to be sure. Winners in some divisions were decided by a single race.

It would’ve been more fun if the Tuckahoe, OKM, and CB parents settled their DCUM score in the parking lot instead of just frothing from the mouth on the hill.

Wow, really dragging OKM into the Tuckahoe & CB tier?!?!? Hopefully this is coming from an Overlee parent, and not DR or HS.

Maybe take a minute and reflect on why it is being said about you all instead of who is saying it. You are getting grouped in with them for a reason so change the behavior if you don’t want to be associated with it.

Really enjoyed the D1 relay last night. Thank you, Donaldson Run, for being excellent hosts! We love being in D1B (bottom, haha). The amount of talent in D1T is unbelievable.

Yep, amazing meet. Very exciting, even if I was just cheering on my kids to get 5th.

Pretty sure this is BS. D1 relays were smooth and fun. Lots of records broken, loud cheering, and close races all around. 5 teams had a lot of fun together.

Not bs and yes it is escalating. Smooth and fun event, stupid move afterwards.

D1B is the best! It’s a lot more enjoyable down here.
