Those would be in the top 10 for sure.

There is pretty widespread academic consensus that Jesus and Muhammad were really historical figures.

That doesn't mean a thing.
There was once widespread academic consensus the Earth was flat and the center of the Universe also.

DP. Don't be such a dumb narcissist. We have historical evidence that they existed, in written records, the original sources from the Romans about Christ. He was an undisputed historical figure. Clearly, he was the forefather of philosophy that is now called communism and that has widespread appeal to many people who understand the philosophy of equality. I am not referring to the economic orders that use communism to bastardize the term and the theory and to abuse others.

Gee wiz, anyone can write something down. Doesn't make it historical fact.

"Aliens visited me just now. We talked and laughed, and they went back to their planet." <--- Now there is historical records online that anyone can research to prove aliens visited Earth.

Among the 12 disciples were people who wrote extensively about Jesus (hint, it's called books in the Bible) and went on to found churches, including St. Peter who established what is now the Catholic church. The early history of Christianity is quite fascinating. Are you alleging that all these people throughout the first few hundred years conspired to invent a totally fictional preacher to hoodwink people? I'm not a "believer" in a meaningful sense but even I accept the very high plausibility of a gifted preacher and thinker who, over the next few centuries, was effectively deified by his followers.

Sneering about aliens is a mark of dimwitted bigotry. And even if you refuse to accept the existence of someone who was the origin of Jesus, the figure in the Bible is still a powerful concept with a strongly human-oriented philosophy and moralism that resonates to this day that in a way it's practically irrelevant whether Jesus existed or not.

The earliest of the 4 Gospels were written in AD 60s, over 30 years after the death of the Christ.

Denying the existence in history around 2000 years ago of a person Jesus is dimwitted. Denying that Jesus walked on water or raised Lazarus from the dead is perfectly reasonable, even though I personally believe.

I suppose alien gee wiz also dismisses original Roman and Jewish historical sources.

Who would you add to this list from our times?

Jesus at third, behind Muhummad and (especially) Isaac Newton) is a joke.

So Jane Austen, Jerry Springer, Jane Goodall, Dolly Parton, Oprah Winfrey and Prince influenced the history of the world?!!

Got a source for that? Far as I know, no records of Jesus ever existed by the Romans. Of course that doesn't prove he didn't exist either, as look at how hard it is even in modern times to get any reliable information without censorship, propaganda, politics, lies, etc.

Whoever invented the zippered fly for pants, ketchup packets, the TV remote control, Gore-tex, the electric toothbrush, and those little lights on sideview mirrors that light up when there is a vehicle in your blind spot.

These things have truly improved the quality of life.

Maybe, if he hadn’t gone batshit. Had he not aligned with Trump and instead mounted a huge campaign to increase the use of electric vehicles, eventually making the internal combustion engine obsolete, he would gone down as the person who helped halt climate change.

And yet, here we are.

All men?!

Yep I suppose the whole Victorian era wouldn't get Queen Victoria a spot on the list despite all the fashion and architecture that was inspired by her reign.

Sacagawea never seems to make these lists either but somehow the men she led around do find their way into history. They would have been lost without her - but she's a woman and had copper skin.

Also on the list, in recent history, should be: RBG, Oprah, Dolly Parton, Frieda Kahlo, Anne Frank, Greta Thunberg, Marie Curie, Jane Goodall, etc.

And I forgot to mention - Jesus should definitely be on the list- as should his mother who was a virgin and gave birth! How does this not make the list?

People have a way to document men and leave the women out, so I'm positive I'm not aware of other great women, so I invite you to add to my skeleton list.

Fred probably got the idea from Barney or Bam-Bam, and beat him up and took his wheel.
