He looks like the grandson of Bluto from Animal House.
Wtf. Aren't there more qualified people out there? |
He is exactly the kind of person who would have been chosen as a candidate on The Apprentice. Do we need more proof that Trump is running the country like a reality tv show? Bring in a bunch of oddball misfits who are grossly unqualified for the task and see who can make it to the next round… |
Dude, he has been at that job since February. This does not qualify him for such a high-level position. Good for him for working his way through college and getting his foot in the door so quickly after graduating. But clearly 3 months on the job is not considered experience. It is still a training period. When are you guys gonna pick the bar up off the floor and start demanding the best and brightest that you were promised? For comparison, I am a teacher. As a teacher, your first year is probationary. You don’t even really have the job permanently yet. You spend the year being trained, observed, mentored, and monitored. No matter how brilliant you are at your job, nobody is going to pull you out during your first semester to be assistant superintendent. If they did so, they would be setting you up for failure. I cannot believe how we have to spell out the simplest of concepts to you guys. |
Apparently an older twitter account of his was all about Legos, Star Wars, and global humanitarian efforts. This was just two years before he became maga. Now he has a political/maga instagram account. This sounds like a kid who went down the right wing propaganda rabbit hole on youtube and tiktok and got sucked in. It happens fast. |
+1. To put someone so woefully under qualified in this position is just sad. We are all less safe with these Trump appointees in charge. |
So many MAGA quick to jump on an ableist comment, yet happy to vote for policies that take away services needed for disabled people to get educations, jobs, and live independently in their homes.
Disability is part of the “D” in “DEI”. |
It’s part of the inclusion. |
So the GOP on this board are cool with it. That’s what I’m hearing. |
Sounds right. Elon didn’t take Big Balks with him, so MAGA seems fine with it all.
Yes, we are effed. |
It's part of their "drain the swamp" mentality, which is a war against expertise. They think that any teenager or grocery bagger can formulate economic policy, the space program, or run the military. It's very similar to Mao's Cultural Revolution philosophy. |
BREAKING - New dirt on the kiddo
The kid was in a love triangle, sent threatening messages, police involved, his dad got him out of his mess. “Now, The Daily Beast can disclose that Fugate does have law enforcement experience: He was investigated less than four years ago in connection with a teenage love triangle gone wrong.” https://www.thedailybeast.com/cops-probed-thomas-fugate-trump-terror-chief-22-over-teen-love-triangle/ No DEI, nothing to see here…. |
So the administration is firing federal workers with years of experience while bringing in this guy? FFS. We’re about to lose more than 1,000 State Department workers and this is who the banana republic administration hires? I think these appointments are just meant to be giant middle fingers to the federal workforce. |
Yes, and such a role should require… experience. Just like the rest of us hardworking middle class folks had to gain before landing jobs with tremendous responsibility. |
+1. |
There are 22 year old First Lieutenants flying F-16 fighter nets right now in training somewhere over AZ or TX. In Israel, a 22 yr old pilot is a combat veteran with multiple missions over Iran.
Just because the typical DCUM 22 yr old boomerang is living at home again after finishing undergrad doesn’t mean every 22 year old is as inept as your kid. Failure to launch is a problem that clearly disproportionately affects DCUM bubble dwellers. |
