Country Club for Normies

Kenwood is now about $1k per month for golf membership. But other than that it ticks all the boxes you’ve highlighted.

Most clubs also have food and beverage minimums each month in addition to the monthly fee.

Pro tip OP: "Normies" cannot afford CCs.

Guys- the prices are listed on page 2 of this thread. Does no one read?

Stupid unenlightened Normies.

An actual normie plays at public courses and belongs to a neighborhood pool.

Disagree.

A lot of the public courses are crap compared to some of the CC courses. And at my cc, you don’t have to deal with the BS of getting stuck on an over scheduled course behind crappy golf players.

I mean it’s quite literally the purpose of a country club. Everyone wants nice things but nice things only stay nice when poor people can’t afford it.

No, lol.

Golf is the purpose.

100% this. Public courses crappy are beyond slow. Our course has a 3:40 pace of play and they enforce it.

What’s the point of beautiful grounds and landscaping if you can’t take time to enjoy it? Golf is weird.

I don't know much about this. But I do know that several years ago we looked at houses in places like Belmont Country club, in Ashburn, which was very nice, and there were full golf/tennis/club memberships available for residents at a rate I thought was pretty good all things considered.

Are monthly dues what you have to spend on things like food, or just more $ you pay every month to belong?

Depends on the club. Our monthly dues have nothing to do with food. We also have no food minimum because we have monthly dues. If we eat at the club, it comes out of our pocket. Additional.

Nope. That just the fee for the facilities. Food is extra.

No, lol.

Please explain the abundance of social, swim, and non-golf memberships. Quite literally no golf.

If it was for golf, why are there no (or only few) public courses and charging premium fees to attract the most customers and make the most revenue.

Exclusivity is the point of country clubs, and arguing otherwise is either done in bad faith or by a naive fool.
