My comment, however, was simply directed to the proportion of Jewish South Africans who were anti-apartheid activists in comparison to the rest of their white demographic cohort. Some estimate that the disproportionate representation was by as much as 2500%.

All to say, I'm not necessarily surprised that a white South African refugee may be both a racist and an anti-semite.

Don't forget Judge Richard Goldstone who helped dismantle apartheid from the bench, helped lead the transition and post-apartheid healing process, and was later integral to the effort to make ethnic cleansing a crime against humanity.

These “refugees” are just pissed they weren’t able to pull off what America did— kill off the majority of your native population and banish the rest of reservations so you don’t have to look at them. Instead, the Black South Africans fought for their human rights and still outnumber them 400 years later. And they’re kinda angry, they have their upper hand, snd they want some of their land back because land ownership = power. Just ask Trump. Why else does he want to bust up public land. Sounds pretty normal.

I had a refugee friend years ago. They didn't have any family and the government provided them assistance with food and housing, and I think the local mosque helped them out with clothing. Wife was a homemaker, and the husband got a blue-collar job pretty quickly. As his English got better and he proved himself he was able to move them to an apartment in a nicer area. The wife got a job after a year or so too.

If these guys are farmers and speak English, they should be able pretty quickly to find something. Cashier/stock (especially someplace like Tractor Supply where they could also familiarize themselves with American varieties and methods) bussing tables anywhere, Amazon warehouse.

They'll be fine.

They’re not coming to the US to do jobs they think are more appropriate for black SAs.
