Sounds pretty normal.

I had a refugee friend years ago. They didn't have any family and the government provided them assistance with food and housing, and I think the local mosque helped them out with clothing. Wife was a homemaker, and the husband got a blue-collar job pretty quickly. As his English got better and he proved himself he was able to move them to an apartment in a nicer area. The wife got a job after a year or so too.

If these guys are farmers and speak English, they should be able pretty quickly to find something. Cashier/stock (especially someplace like Tractor Supply where they could also familiarize themselves with American varieties and methods) bussing tables anywhere, Amazon warehouse.

They'll be fine.

No one is rewriting history here. There were Jewish Americans who fought in the civil rights movement and others who benefited from the status quo. Same in South Africa with the apartheid state. Do some research as opposed to repeating falsehoods.

And yes, I forgot Goldstone though my focus was primarily on Jewish South Africans who had been in exile or worked directly with the liberation movement.
