This is not true. MAGA are in full force on this site and will say all kinds of nonsense to upset people. The new pope has already clashed with JD Vance on Twitter and will continue Pope Francis’ trajectory. Clearly this was a sign to Trump and the chainsaw that MAGA has taken to Christianity.

Pope Francis was a very special person and I don’t think any successor could match him in how he handled modern issues. Truly he was remarkable. It has been almost 15 years since the new pope commented publicly on LGBTQ matters - one can hope that Francis at least served to moderate him in this area.

Yes, I don’t think we will have another Pope Francis, but I’d like to think he paved the way for the better.
