Agreed. And OP, my heart goes out to you. My dad died of lung cancer and my mom got colon cancer from smoking. She survived.
Play the vanity angle, the dating angle, the nasty breath kissing an ashtray angle. Even though my mother stopped smoking at age 45, her skin and her teeth are just an incredible mess.
