they will sound like partisan hacks and so do you.

I bet you voted against Trump three times and you disagree with everything he has done as President - am I right?

Were the Germans that didn’t vote for Hitler also partisan hacks?

This problem here is that you are just plain damaged if you are STILL defending that orange sack of pus.

No, it plainly lays out his crimes and forces his collaborators and enablers to defend those actions. It will be quite handy later.

It would help if impeachment votes could be secret. For that matter, the Constitution doesn't say anything about votes in Congress having to be public. Is this in the chamber rules? This occurred to me because the vote for Thune to be majority leader WAS a secret vote. And he won 29-24 and (yes I know, evasion and saying the courts will fix things) the 29 voting for him did it because he wasn't MAGA.

These articles of impeachment are because AOC's group has put up a primary challenger to this Congressman.

Lol, Nixon didn’t resign because he was remorseful or because he wanted to spare the country from further turmoil. He resigned because Republican Congressmen paid him a visit at the WH to let him know that the Republican Party was not going to stand with him and that not only would he be impeached by the House, but there were enough senators who would vote to convict him that he would be the first president to be removed from office by Congress. His own party encouraged him to resign to spare him the humiliation of being removed. He didn’t volunteer to resign; he was voluntold.

Nixon’s resignation came about because the Republicans of 50 years ago put their country before their party. The rule of law was more important to them than sticking it to the Democrats.

The only reason why Trump will not be impeached a third time and subsequently removed from office is because today’s Congressional Republicans are terrified of what the MAGA cult members would do to them if they upheld their oath to support and defend the Constitution.

They answer to their special interests.

And their constituents, to a lesser degree.
