Here's my understanding: articles of impeachment are brought forward, there's a House vote & if passed, it goes to the Senate & if passed, the President goes on trial by the SCOTUS who must find the President guilty to get him removed. Is that correct?

So, is bringing forth articles of impeachment simply a way to get an * or new section on your Wiki page that you tried to do something to stop the madness? Because Republicans control the House & Senate, so obviously it'll never pass.

I know it is probably my youth, but the word impeachment is used so much these days that it means nothing. He's been impeached twice, so what's it matter if he gets impeached a third time, ya know?

Yup. I understand some Democrats are trying to officially record their disapproval for the history books. That is important, for future generations' edification.

But it's an abstract exercise. It won't bring about a removal from office.

Are any of those articles of impeachment introduced by a republican congressman? Assuming no, why? Surely some of them want him out..are they just scared? He has become a political liability. If impeachment is not an option..how else can we put pressure? Thru our pocketbooks? boycott? media blitz? I can't believe we are in this situation...

Because they are either:

Being blackmailed
Being threatened
Or totally fine with it

If they disagree with what he’s doing and are too scared to speak up, then they need to resign.

Any Democrat introduce articles of impeachment against Biden for weaponizing the DOJ, influence peddling, and money laundering (China, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Romania)....you know....Rosemont Seneca Bohai and a dozen other money laundering houses?

I think they should proceed with the obscenely corrupt actions that Trump has announced publicly. Nothing that can be dismissed as partisan, just simple bribery and extortion charges with obvious and indisputable quid pro quo. Nobody voted for bribery and extortion.

You mean all that criminal stuff the Bidens were supposedly doing that was hidden on Hunter's laptop? Except when they looked at the laptop there was no such evidence of big criminal stuff there, other than that Hunter had a drug problem and didn't disclose it on his 4473.

Impeaching a president is now useless. Why bother? The only president who ever left voluntarily was Nixon and he resigned before being impeached.
